Learn more about this courseI am currently a sophomore majoring in Korean Studies and International Studies. I am also an undergraduate intern at the Institute for Korean Studies. The amount of academic support and encouragement I’ve received through the institute is beyond what I imagined. The courses teach about all aspects of Korea, including North-South Korean relations; Korean popular culture; Korean history; and how all these fields interact. This has allowed me to explore Korea in great depth and breadth.
In addition to academics, working with the institute as an undergraduate intern has allowed me to develop professional skills and work closely with such supportive faculty that encourage my passion for Korean Studies. The Institute for Korean Studies has been such an important part of my academic career and the support that I receive makes me believe that I made the right choice in pursuing Korean Studies.
