SNU 2026 Global Exchange Project Brings Korean Traditional Music to Indiana
On February 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., Enlightened Connections: Bridge to Korean Music was held at Shreve Auditorium at Indiana University. The concert was presented by the Institute for Korean Studies and the East Asian Studies Center in collaboration with the Department of Korean Music at Seoul National University (SNU).
The 2026 New Year’s Day Celebration was held on Saturday, February 14, at the Hamilton Lugar School GA Atrium. The event took place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and included various cultural activities, a student video showcase, and a Korean meal.
GW-IU Undergrad Research Exchange Program
Each year, IKS hosts the annual George Washington-Indiana University Undergraduate Research Exchange Program. Through this program, students spend an academic year conducting research on an original project related to Korea.
Students are invited to apply for the George Washington University-Indiana University Undergraduate Research Exchange Program.
The Bloomington Sejong Institute offers free Korean language courses and cultural events to residents of the City of Bloomington and surrounding counties.
We provide support and funding opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students who wish to pursue Korean Studies at IU. We also advance cultural fluency and public understanding of Korea through colloquia, lectures, and seminars.
